Disclosure: how HoldValue makes money, and how referral links work
Let's get this out of the way first: HoldValue does not charge you anything. It is supported by affiliate referrals. This page explains that relationship plainly, and why it does not lead us to tell you only the good parts.
How this site makes money
Some of the outbound links on this site are sponsored referral links. If you go to an exchange through one of these links and complete a registration, the site maintainer may earn a commission as a result. This adds no cost to you; you still pay exactly the same fees the platform charges anyone else.
Where the real link lives
To keep this relationship transparent and easy to check, we put the real referral link in one place only: the outbound notice page. The buttons inside articles and on the homepage all send you to that outbound notice page first, so you can read it and decide for yourself whether to continue. There are no referral links buried in the body text of articles.
Does it affect objectivity
This is the question that most deserves an answer. Here is how we handle it:
- Risk always comes first. If a tool is not right for you, we say so. We do not gloss over it because there is a commission attached.
- We make no "permanent / lifetime / fixed-rate" fee promises. Fees and promotions are always "as shown on the official page in real time".
- We do not impersonate anyone official, and we do not use "exclusive channel / insider discount" sales talk.
- The homepage carries no invite code and no copy button; the real link lives only on the outbound page.
In other words, the referral relationship is "a convenient next step once you understand things", not the reason this site exists. If a platform ever stops being worth recommending, we would rather not put up a link at all.
What we don't do
- We do not take money to write "praise", and we do not accept sponsorship that would affect our risk conclusions.
- We never ask you for any sensitive account information, and we never operate accounts on anyone's behalf.
- We do not promise returns, and we do not guarantee that any promotion or regional availability will hold.
